Privacy Policy

Overview

Probs is a decision-analysis app that runs entirely on your device. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle data.

Data We Do Not Collect

We want to be clear about what we never access:

• Your decision questions and dilemmas
• Your analysis results and recommendations
• Your risk tolerance settings
• Your outcome tracking data
• Your personal preferences and appearance settings
• Your name, email, or any identifying information

All of the above is stored locally on your device using on-device storage and is never transmitted to any server.

How Your Data Is Stored

Probs uses your device's local storage (AsyncStorage) to save your decisions, preferences, and settings. This data:

• Lives only on your device
• Is not backed up to any cloud service by Probs
• Is not accessible to us or any third party
• Can be deleted at any time using the "Clear all data" option in your profile
• Can be exported as a CSV file at your discretion

In-App Purchases

Probs offers optional in-app purchases processed through Apple's App Store. When you make a purchase:

• Payment is handled entirely by Apple — we never see or store your payment information
• We use RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements, which may process anonymized transaction data
• No personal financial information is stored within the app

Analytics and Tracking

Probs does not use any analytics services, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not track your usage patterns, screen views, or interactions within the app.

Research Data Sharing

Probs includes an optional feature to share anonymized decision data with researchers. This is entirely voluntary and requires your explicit action (tapping "Share with Researchers" in your profile). If you choose to share:

• Data is sent via your device's email client
• You can review the data before sending
• No data is shared without your direct action

Third-Party Services

Probs uses the following third-party services:

• RevenueCat: For managing in-app purchase entitlements. RevenueCat's privacy policy can be found at revenuecat.com/privacy
• Apple App Store: For processing payments. Apple's privacy policy applies to all App Store transactions.

Children's Privacy

Probs is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since all data is stored locally and we collect no data, there is no risk of children's data being compromised.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
