1. Purpose and Nature of the App

Probs ("the App") is a decision-support tool that uses probability theory, expected utility calculations, and minimax regret analysis to help you think through decisions. The App provides mathematical analysis of the information you supply — it does not provide professional, financial, legal, medical, or psychological advice.

2. No Guarantee of Outcomes

All analysis is based on the probabilities, scenarios, and payoff values you enter. Results are only as good as the inputs you provide. The App makes no guarantees, warranties, or promises regarding the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of any recommendation.

3. User Responsibility and Liability

You are solely responsible for any and all decisions you make, whether or not they are influenced by the App's analysis. By using the App, you agree to accept full liability for any consequences arising from decisions you make.

The developers, owners, and operators of Probs shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the App or reliance on its output.

4. Probabilistic Nature

The App uses mathematical models including expected utility theory and minimax regret analysis. These are well-established decision theory frameworks that:

• Estimate likelihoods and trade-offs, not certainties
• Depend entirely on the accuracy of user-provided inputs
• Simplify complex real-world situations into numerical estimates
• Should be used as one input among many in your decision-making process

5. Data and Privacy

6. In-App Purchases

Certain features require purchase:

• Decision Pack: $2.99 one-time purchase for 25 additional analyses
• Unlimited Monthly: $4.99/month for unlimited analyses

All sales are final and subject to the refund policies of Apple. Prices are subject to change. The App includes 10 free analyses upon first use.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, mathematical models, and content, is the intellectual property of the developers. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App without prior written consent.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developers and operators of Probs from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Decisions you make based on the App's analysis
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of a third party

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developers or operators of Probs be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, whether in an action in contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from or related to the use of the App.

Probs is an educational and analytical tool only. It is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind. By using the App, you acknowledge that:

• You accept full responsibility for your own decisions
• You will not hold the App or its creators liable for any outcomes

• The App is not a replacement for professional advice

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the App or this page.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
